Our orthodontist near Dartmouth welcomes patients of varying ages, including both youngsters and adolescents and older teens and adults. We are able to provide a wide range of braces to help all of our patients get the great orthodontic results that they are looking for. We help patients who are looking to get improvements to their bite for both aesthetic reasons and reasons of wanting to enjoy better health. Some people have earaches or frequent headaches due to dental bite problems. We work to help all patients get the bite that they need. And, we offer many different types of braces to help you meet this goal. Our orthodontist will consult with you and let you know which types of braces will work best for you.
Dr. Jensen, our orthodontist near Dartmouth will determine which the best types of braces for you are. Among the braces we offer are self-ligation braces. These new and innovative braces are able to speed up treatment, while also looking good and appearing less obtrusive in the mouth. We also have miniaturized silver braces that have much smaller brackets than traditional metal braces. Ceramic braces (also known as clear plastic) are a popular option for patients who want it to appear that they have much less braces material in the mouth than with traditional metal braces. However, due to the more fragile nature of the material that ceramic braces are made of, they are usually used only on the upper front teeth. For a fun look, we also offer silver or clear braces with colored modules that come in 52 colors! We also offer removable acrylic and wire retainer type appliances. Our practice also uses stainless bands or rings that fit over the tops of the teeth, and fixed bonded lingual retainers, which are also commonly referred to as “G-wires.” As you can see, there are many ways (and more) that you can be treated with to get a beautiful and healthy smile. We hope you will contact us to visit with Dr. Jensen soon for a complete orthodontic consultation.
